Fundraising for Schools

Recyclersusa.com - Have your school make money by recycling empty printer cartridges.
They say the average price paid for a cartridge is $1.50. So if each child in your school brought a cartridge to school to be recycled the school could end up with a handsome sum of money<g>. It takes hundreds of years for ink-jet and laser-printer cartridges to decompose in a landfill, but it takes only 48 hours for your school to receive a check for recycling this would-be waste. Recyclers USA will provide the materials to implement the program at your school.

Box Tops For Education - This is a great program from General Mills. You can clip and save Box Top logos from participating General Mills products, hand them into your school and the school will get 10 cents for each box top up to $10,000 per school. So next time you buy Betty Crocker, Yoplait Yogurt, cereals such as Kix, Honey Nut Cheerios and many more - save the box top logo and take it to school. If your school isn't participating, let them know about it, my sons school was able to collect over $600 last year and this year they had collected $200 the first month. That kind of money can purchase well needed supplies for any school.

Scholastic Books - I'm sure everyone is aware of Scholastic's, but if you are not, you might want to be. It allows you to buy books at greatly discounted rates for kids in your age groups. Once a month your kids teacher will hand out scholastic's catalog for that month and you can buy brand new books starting at 95 cents. Most books that I buy are between 95 cents and $3. The best news of all though is that the teacher earns one bonus point for each dollar spent and with those points the teacher can buy books and software. Again, my sons teacher hasn't had to pay a dime out of budget for software because she's been able to buy it with her bonus points.

Labels for Education - By sending in labels, UPC symbols or lids from products such as Campbell soups, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, V8 and more your school will earn points with which it can get educational products such as sports equipment, arts & crafts supplies, electronics, library items, computers & software and more.
