Safety
Here you will find links and information on various kinds
of safety issues on the Internet as well as elsewhere.
Safety Net, December,
1997 - Ay, ay, you are not going to like this. This is an article by Charles Pappas
and he basically shows you how to find out someone's social security number, the assets
they hold, lawsuits, judgements against a person, voting-registration records, listings of
your address and your neighbors etc. How about someone's credit report or your safe
deposit holdings? There is a price, it's not free, but most of the above information cost
him $50 and took less than 2 days.
Stalkers Home Page - Well, what can I say. You really do
want to take a look at this site even though you might not like what you see. This is a
site by a gentleman called Glen L. Roberts and the Full Disclosure Live Radio Show. The
sites intention is to give attention to the ready access anyone has to personal
information about you or anyone else, scams by companies, etc. They have links to
government sites that list Social Security Numbers, request your own FBI file or see what
FBI files are "public" and can be requested by anyone. There is so much here,
you'll just have to go there to find out for yourself...
AnyWho - You have to try this one out to believe it. Look
up anyone in the U.S. and get a map to their house. You don't even have to know someone's
name, just type in the street and you'll get a listing of everyone living on that street.
You can also do reverse look-ups meaning, you have the phone number but don't know who it
belongs to, type in the number and it will tell you who the owner of that number is.
Switchboard - Search the Switchboard White Page
Directory. This directory contains 90
million listings in the USA. You can enter as much or as little information as you want.
For example, entering a last name of "A" will start listing everyone in the USA
who's name begins with A. Filling in a state, will narrow the search to just that state,
adding a city will limit it further. Check it out!
Phonebook -People Finder - will let you search
several different databases and search services
Four11 Directory Services - Find email, phone, get
directions
Internet @ddress.finder - finds peoples email addresses.
has over 6 million listings
DejaNews - Usergroup posting, if Well if the person
you are wanting info on uses
newsgroups, you can find out exactly what and to what newsgroups they post to - learn
their
interests, etc.
Anonymizer - Surf anonymously, send
email anonymously
Secret No More - What follows is a
subject guide to thousands of FBI files (and their file numbers) that are now publicly
accessible. In many cases, these files have never been seen
outside the FBI. The list is being compiled, by Michael J. Ravnitzky and from information
Ravnitzky has developed about exceptional files historic, notable,
high-profile, or otherwise interesting cases.
